What is my Resume?
In 1973, I went to work for Nordstrom in Seattle and quickly became a manager and then a buyer for them. I helped to introduce them to California in 1978 as a buyer and then was promoted back to Seattle.
Being a California native, I realized that I really missed living here and returned (again with Nordstrom, as a buyer).
I married in the early 80's and left Nordstrom to work in clothing production in the San Franciso area. This had me traveling to Asia, New York, Chicago and other places, working with clothing design and production. I did this for many years. We had children and it was harder and harder to be gone for long trips. I realized I wanted a job that kept me involved with the community and our kids, closer to home.
We had purchased and sold a few homes in the San Francisco area. I had always been involved with the process, I realized I liked Real Estate and told myself that someday I would go into that field. That day came in the mid 1990's.
My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner. I have been able to use all of my skills in customer service, negotiation, design and business that I compiled through the years in the garment industry and I can do it all in the neighborhoods I really enjoy. Our children have gone all through the Orinda school system, went to college and now are working in Southern California.
